Barack and Michelle Obama coming to a TV near you?

Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, could be headed to the small screen. That’s right, the former President is reportedly in talks with Netflix to produce original programming for the streaming service.

According to the New York Times, Obama wouldn’t use the platform to directly respond to the Trump administration or those who aren’t fond of 44.

Apparently, nothing is final yet but show ideas for the former occupants of the White House have been mentioned. One being Barry moderating topics that came up during his administration. Seriously, anyone who thinks that wouldn’t devolve into Obama condescendingly lecturing those on the panel is simply kidding themselves.

Any who, those who aren’t fans of Obama have reacted as expected, with total and complete outrage.

Really, are we that surprised? Netflix really isn’t the most conservative of platforms.

They produced a film about the former president and have original programs like “Dear White People,” “Disjointed,” and “Orange is the New Black.” This move by Netflix isn’t coming out of nowhere. Besides that, last time I checked the user selects which movies/shows play on the television, iPhone or computer screen.

Hillary Clinton Protected Campaign Adviser Accused of Sexual Harassment

The New York Times is reporting that in 2008, a senior adviser to the Clinton presidential campaign was kept on staff despite sexual harassment accusations against him from another campaign staffer.

Burns Strider served as Clinton’s spiritual adviser, but despite urging from other staff members, was not removed from his position per Clinton’s request. Instead, he was docked several weeks pay and sent to counseling. The staffer accusing Strider of repeated sexual harassment was moved to a different job on the campaign.

From the article in the New York Times:

Those familiar with the accounts said that, over the years, a number of advisers urged Mrs. Clinton to sever ties with Mr. Strider, and people familiar with what took place did not want to see Mrs. Clinton blamed for the misconduct of men she was close to.

Strider never completed his counseling and in 2016 was again accused of harassment and was fired from Correct the Record, a PAC formed to support Clinton’s second presidential campaign.

Clinton campaign staffers including the young woman accusing Strider have not publicly commented on the matter (until now) as all were required to sign a NDA which barred employees from publicly discussing internal dynamics within the Clinton campaign.

Today, Hillary tried to smooth things over with these two tweets.

Anyone familiar with the Clinton’s history shouldn’t be surprised by these revelations. Bill Clinton has been accused of rape and sexual harassment nearly his whole life. And when the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke, Lena Dunham claimed she warned the Clinton campaign in 2016 that he Weinstein was a rapist and they ignored it.

Wonder if Clinton supporters, in light of this new revelation and with the timing of the #MeToo movement, will still be with her?

Dana Loesch Gets Apology from Yashar Ali; Called “Terrorist” by Kathleen Rice

Dana Loesch has been brutally attacked the last couple weeks by journalists (and now even a congresswoman) on the left who claim she uses the word “fist” instead of “fisk” in this NRA ad.

Fisk, in case you didn’t know, basically means to fact check and in the ad, Loesch calls for fact-checking of the NY Times. The NRA video series is called “Clenched Fist of Truth.” As you can imagine, things got nasty on Twitter toward Loesch AND liberals claimed she was inciting violence against the newspaper.

However, Yashar Ali of New York Magazine, Huff Post and Mother Jones decided things had gone a bit too far and issued this apology to Loesch yesterday.

Dana graciously accepted his apology.

But before the dust settled on the previous attack from Ali, she was then dealt ANOTHER blow from New York Congresswoman, Kathleen Rice, who decided to call Dana and ALL members of the NRA domestic security threats under the Trump administration.

Conservative women like Loesch are increasingly being attacked by members of the left, especially those who strongly support the Second Amendment. Calling Dana and ALL members of the NRA terrorists is completely outrageous and infuriating.

Many NRA members are former and current members of our military. More importantly, they are LEGAL gun owners who follow their state regulations for buying and carrying firearms.

Rice should apologize to Dana and the millions of NRA (and non-NRA) gun owners she just insulted. However, according to a statement from her spokesperson,  it doesn’t look like that will be happening anytime soon.

Dear Feminists: We’re Tired of Your War on Pro-Life Women

While the Comey hearing was going on yesterday, feminists were trying to re-direct people’s attention away from the former F.B.I. director’s testimony. They’re still screeching about the possibility that they’re actually going to have to pay for their own birth control and that access to abortions will be severely limited or, God forbid, taken away from them.

Just last week, the NY Times published a piece titled “Trump Rule Could Deny Birth Control Coverage to Hundreds of Thousands of Women.” The author warns that if the new health care law passes, women will not be able to get the free birth control that Obamacare provided to them and more employers, like The Little Sisters of the Poor, could deny insurance coverage for birth control based on religious objections.

SO WHAT? Pay for your own contraceptives! Birth control is not that expensive – around $9 per month for a pack of pills for those who are uninsured – and they can easily be obtained at health clinics all over the United States. And on a side note: insurance companies will cover birth control that’s being used for medical reasons – the only thing Christian run corporations objected to was birth control being used as abortifacient drugs.

Planned Parenthood also tried to use their scare tactics too, tweeting that de-funding the organization would leave women with nowhere else to turn. Fact check: there are 20 community health clinics for every 1 Planned Parenthood and most offer the same services, if not more, than the abortion giant.

Online news magazine Marie Claire recently tried to expose Evangelical Christians who they say want to de-fund Planned Parenthood, yet use their clinics. The article makes some pretty bold claims that young adults who grow up in the church aren’t getting “honest medical information” because their religion shies away from talking about sex or contraceptives. They even allude to the fact that young adults are “traumatized” from the religious teachings they received early in life.

And apparently 13% of all abortions are for Evangelical Christian women, although there’s no source or explanation of where that statistic came from.

Well known feminist writer Jessica Valenti also dropped an opinion piece yesterday, stating that “a law that bans abortion is a law that mandates pregnancy. And forcing women to be pregnant is a clear-cut denial of freedom.”

It’s humiliating to be put in the position of having to convince someone of your humanity. I’m tired of women having to explain themselves to people who will never know what it feels like to be pregnant when you don’t want to or cannot be. How many studies need to be done? How many articles do we have to write, or stories do we have to share, before people will accept that a woman’s ability to control what happens to her body is as necessary to her as oxygen? When will they realize that denying us this is deadly? An abortion protected my health and possibly my life.

WOW. That first sentence is so hypocritical and sad. How long have we pro-lifers been trying to convince liberals that the unborn are human too?  That a baby is a separate body within your own and they also have a Constitutional right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness just like the rest of us who walk this planet?

And as a side note: Valenti laments that an abortion protected her health and possibly her life. Funny, firearms do the very same thing for many people, yet she’s openly against anyone owning a gun.

I don’t know about you, but I am tired of abortion advocates whining about their rights being taken away when they themselves take away the rights of the most vulnerable in our society. It’s almost daily that some new piece pops up about how women are living out the Handmaid’s Tale right now.

Please. The pro-choice movement is overwhelmingly controlling the narrative that there’s a “War on Women” when in fact, the war is really on conservative women. Those of us who speak up for the unborn are then demonized by their own gender for not conforming to feminist standards, even if we believe in equality in pay and work.
