GOP using Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton to attack James Comey

Chuck Schumer. Maxine Waters. Hillary Clinton.  Those names don’t exactly scream conservatism.

Waters, a totally ineffective legislator from the Golden State, spends more time on MSNBC calling for President Trump’s impeachment than she does on any kind of legislation. Seriously, in the nearly 30 years the woman has been in Congress, she has introduced and passed THREE bills!

Also, in 2009 she was investigated for conflict of interest, concerning meetings she took with a bank where had a vested financial interest.

Chuck Schumer, the liberal senator from New York, is a strong proponent for increased gun control and an abortion advocate, who actually high-fived a fellow Democratic senator after voting for late-term abortion.

Then there’s Hillary Clinton. The former Democratic presidential nominee, who has an issue with emails just seemingly disappearing, was accused of using the State Department when she was Secretary of State to enrich her and her husband Billy’s foundation, and that’s just her most recent scandals.

She also referred to Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables” and blamed white women for her presidential loss to Donald Trump, saying they simply listened to their husbands when it came to voting booth. Apparently, Hillary doesn’t think white women possess a brain.

Knowing all this about these three Democratic all-stars, why in the world would the GOP use them in their defense of President Donald Trump? But that’s exactly what the Republican National Committee is doing with a website they’ve set up, LyinComey.com. Quotes from all three bashing Comey are prominently featured on the site.

The new website is just part of the GOP’s plan to combat former FBI director James Comey as he’s set to begin his media tour; promoting his new book , which hits shelves Tuesday.

You’ve got to ask yourself, why are the Trump administration and the GOP so afraid of Comey?  If there was no wrongdoing on behalf of Trump and his administration in regards to their dealing with Comey- and I’m not suggesting there is – why such an aggressive plan to discredit him? Why not simply let this thing die down on its own?

What’s that old saying? The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Who would’ve thought the GOP would have ever quoted Hillary Clinton in their defense of anything?

Buckle up and hold on tight because from the looks of it things are about to become really, really interesting and that ain’t no Lyin’.

Finally! CNN let’s us know David Hogg’s plans after high school

CNN loves them some David Hogg.

You know, who I’m talk about, right? He’s the Parkland School shooting survivor who is on their network more than Brian Stelter. But honestly, he’s probably more reliable than the ‘Reliable Sources’ host, so maybe that’s part of the reason.

Anyway, Mr. Hogg is the lad whose been the most out front and in your face about guns, gun laws, the NRA, saying lawmakers have literal blood on their hands, organizing protests and other pleasantries.

Hogg also believes his parents “don’t know how to use a “f**king” democracy.”

So, you know he’s seems like a perfectly pleasant, reasonable young man.

CNN, “the most trusted name in news,” is without a doubt the primary, if not the sole reason, Hogg has gained so much fame and notoriety.

CNN’s Alliysn Camerota was absolutely incredulous when she learned that any college could turn away their media darling, exclaiming “what kind of dumbass colleges don’t want you?”

Well, now thanks to CNN we now know Hogg won’t be attending any “dumbass” colleges, at least for the next year.  What will the left’s intolerable poster child being doing for the next year?  Well, don’t you worry, he, just like to resident sane person and “comedian” Chelsea Handler, will be making our democracy even better.

How selfless of the lad!

Listen, this isn’t so much about Hogg as it is CNN. Hogg doesn’t realize he’s being used by those pushing gun control and the media. He’s lapping up all the fame and honestly, what 17-year-old kid wouldn’t like being told how great they are and how brave they are for holding opinions that the media elite hold.

Feeling it necessary to tell us what Hogg plans to do after high school just kind of shows where CNN’s credibility is at this point. Next to zero.

Perhaps CNN will tell us what he plans to do for the weekend? What his parents get him for his 18th birthday?

CNN, please do keep us informed! You know, “the most trusted named in news.”

CNN Analyst: Women Wear Skirts and Dresses So They Can’t Carry Guns

Tom Fuentes, CNN’s Senior Law Enforcement Analysis thinks female teachers can’t carry guns because they wear a lot of skirts and dresses. Yes, you read that right.

Darn those skits and dresses!! There’s just nowhere to hide a gun. WRONG.

What Mr. Fuentes doesn’t know is there are entire clothing lines dedicated to female conceal carry and they do a pretty good job of hiding your weapon on your person. There are even some amazing workout clothes, which fit much tighter than skirts and dresses, that allow you to discretely conceal carry.

The Well Armed Woman is full of amazing resources for ladies who carry and not only do they connect ladies to gear and purses, but they have a wealth of knowledge for women who are thinking about buying a gun but don’t know which type of firearm they should go with.

Alexo Athletica  is a newer company that focuses on athletic apparel. Their mission is to “never back down from supporting a woman’s right to choose how she defends herself while striving to bring the best in fashionable, functional active carry-wear to the market.” Their workout pants have multiple pockets that fit pistols, magazines, smart phones, knives, keys and/or all of the above.

Style Me Tactical is an entire fashion blog dedicated to “blend[ing] women’s fashion and self-reliance. Style Me Tactical is a resource and community for women to become inspired, informed, and encouraged to live a lifestyle where being prepared and having the ability to defend oneself can coexist with a woman’s desire to be fashionable.”

There are even special conceal carry bras!

And if that’s not enough, then there’s always the good old fashioned thigh holster, which conceals nicely under a loose fitting skirt or dress.

So there you have it Mr. Fuentes, it looks like there are plenty of options for teachers (or any woman for that matter) who want to conceal carry AND wear a dress/skirt.

It was pretty sexist of you to suggest otherwise.

Broward Co. Sheriff Israel doesn’t seem to understand ‘leadership’

The debate following the deadly Florida school shooting rages on, which is to be expected any time that many people senselessly lose their lives. And as is always the case following a tragedy such as this, the media and others begin screaming about increased gun control measures.

In the days following the shooting, the NRA and its spokeswoman, Dana Loesch, have received a ton of criticism, essentially blaming them for the shooting of the 17 people in that Florida school.  Businesses have also begun ending discounts for members of the NRA. Listen, that’s perfectly acceptable. Private businesses have the right to do whatever they please. But let’s remember, we also have the right to patronize other businesses, as well.

First, the FBI admitted that they ignored a Jan. 5th tip about Nikolas Cruz and they did absolutely nothing about the situation.

However, the most interesting developments since the shooting have to be the failures on the part of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department.

First, we learned there were repeated calls made about Nikolas Cruz and his odd and disturbing behavior. What happened? Nothing. Then we heard about at least one and as many as possibly four Broward County deputies failed to enter the school when the shooting was taking place.

But, for whatever reason, the Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel seems not to be able to grasp the basic concept of the word leadership.

In the above clip, Sheriff Israel mentions that he is not ultimately responsible for an individual’s actions. That he had done everything possible to prepare that so and so was ready for the fight, but if they choose not to go in, well hey, that ain’t my fault.

No sir, leadership is standing up and taking responsibility for the successes or failures of an organization. Leadership is stepping up and admitting failures, whether they be yours or not. Leadership isn’t using the NRA as a scapegoat for your failures. It’s being man or woman enough to admit when your organization failed and accepting the consequences whatever they may be.

If a company falters, loses stockholders’ money, it’s the CEO who ultimately pays the price, usually with his or her job. If the country isn’t performing at a level that the electorate believes it should be, a change in leadership in the White House is made.

Point is sir, taking responsibility for the actions of those beneath you is what leadership is all about. The voters elected you to do a job, to carry out those duties and it appears that you failed them miserably. To act as if you have absolutely no responsibility in this ugly, devastating outcome is incredibly absurd and appalling.

Why you continue to refuse say that you’ve provided excellent leadership and refuses to resign is baffling.

What happened in Florida that day was horrible, ugly and awful. There is still plenty of healing and pain to come in the coming days.

There are certainly legislative solutions that could and should happen. People must learn from their mistakes and failures in this case in order to hope this doesn’t happen again in the future.

However, responsibility for those failures and mistakes must be taken and a big part of that healing process is for Broward County Sheriff Israel to step down.

CNN Town Hall Was An Emotion Fueled Attack on the GOP and the NRA

Last night CNN held a town hall with the students, parents and teachers from Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Jake Tapper served as moderator and was joined by Florida Senators Marco Rubio, Bill Nelson, Rep. Ted Deutch, NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel.

It could have been an important and much needed conversation, with both sides offering suggestions and discussing practical solutions. Instead, it turned into an angry, emotionally charged attack on the GOP, NRA and the Second Amendment.

One student tried to back Marco Rubio into a corner by asking him to publicly declare that he would not accept any more money from the NRA.

When trying to talk with the father of a student who died in the attack, he was repeatedly booed by the crowd when discussing fixing laws we already have instead of full on banning semi-automatic weapons.

Dana Loesch, a spokesperson for the NRA and conservative talk show host, was met with even more distain from the crowd. When Emma Gonzalez asked her question, she precluded it with a statement saying ” Dana Loesch, I want you to know that we will support your two children in the way that we will not – – you will not.” She then went on to ask Loesch about making it harder to obtain semi-automatic weapons and modifications such as bump stocks.

Amid the booing, people in the crowd also started yelling “murderer” and “burn her” at Loesch while she was responding to questions.

Sheriff Israel even accused her of not standing up for the students because she wouldn’t say the NRA wanted less weapons but then later on said “America, there’s one person responsible for this act. That’s the detestable violent killer. He is responsible for this act. No other — nobody else but him.”

Muskets came up. A well regulated militia came up. The time era the Second Amendment was written in came up. Each time Loesch tried to present facts and talk to the crowd about the language and how it was written, she got booed. If they’d had rotten tomatoes, it’s probable people wouldn’t have been throwing them at her. And in an interview with a student following the town hall, they were still livid with the NRA, saying they offer no solutions to change.

This went on for two hours and while these students and parents have every right to be emotional and express that outrage, this was supposed to be a forum for discussion and instead it turned into a mob rule rally for a full repeal of the Second Amendment.
Major props to Marco Rubio and Dana Loesch for going into that lion’s den in the first place. It was hostile, emotional and downright infuriating that these two people, who are trying to work with the other side were treated so disrespectfully. And shame on CNN for exploiting the victims of this tragedy to push an obvious gun control agenda and score ratings, just one week after the school shooting.

CNN puts Holocaust denier candidate on air because….?

CNN host Alisyn Camerota recently had Arthur Jones, a GOP candidate for office Illinois’ third district, on her show. Currently, there are no other Republican candidates running against Mr. Jones.

For those unfamiliar with Mr. Jones, he holds some pretty despicable, disgusting views. He’s a Holocaust-denier, a former (and possibly, current) Nazi leader and appears to, at least in the CNN interview, believe the Jews are to blame for wars in the Middle East.

See what I mean, he’s an obviously hate-filled man with repulsive and racist views. A simple Google search of Jones will turn up tons of articles about the sickening views he holds.

Camerota and Jones spend the entire segment basically yelling at one another. Anyone with more than two brain cells knew this was a segment that was just going to end in a shouting match.

Camerota tells Jones how racist he is, how the Illinois GOP and the National GOP have both put out statements distancing themselves from Jones and Jones proceeds to talk about “the Jew media” and calls the Holocaust “poppycock.”

Nothing surprising.  But for some reason, producers at CNN felt the need to give the man national airtime, a platform to espouse his disgusting views. These kind of racist, hateful views have no place in society.

Who in their right mind would book this guy? Having him on air provides legitimacy to his views and it’s not like he’ll be elected. So, is CNN into reporting the news or do they want to be in the news, making headlines themselves?

Jay-Z Feuds with Trump

Rap artist and mogul Jay-Z sat down with CNN’s Van Jones, discussing topics such as the #MeToo movement and President Trump’s recent colorful comments about immigrant countries.

From the Hollywood Reporter:

“It is disappointing and it’s hurtful,” Jay-Z said of Trump’s infamous comments regarding immigrants from countries such as Haiti. “Everyone feels anger, but after the anger, it’s real hurtful. Because it’s looking down at a whole population of people, and it’s so misinformed, because these places have beautiful people and beautiful everything. This is the leader of the free world speaking like this…somewhere along his lineage something happened to him. Something happened to him, and he is expressing it in this sort of way.”

The rapper also called the President a “superbug.”

Trump hit back this morning on Twitter with this single tweet.

Interestingly enough, Van Jones actually asked Jay-Z about this in the interview and he responded “”because it’s not about money at the end of the day. Money doesn’t equate to happiness. It doesn’t. That’s missing the whole point.”

Jay-Z is up for eight Grammy Awards tonight, including Album of the Year for 4:44.
