Kroger Pulling Gun Magazines from Stores

This is getting ridiculous.

Kroger announced that it will pull popular gun magazines from their store shelves. Fifty-seven titles including Guns and Ammo, Firearm News, Recoil and S.W.A.T.  will no longer be sold in any of Kroger’s grocery store chains.

In the past few years, magazine sales have been dwindling, so this is sure to hurt the publishers even more.

From, Jim Shepherd of The Outdoor Wire says, ““In many locations, grocery stores are essentially the only remaining newsstands of any size and comprehensive variety. They’re the single best link between publishers and their potential readers. If your titles are removed, you lose the potential to reach those readers. Without those sites, your distribution universe is also diminished. Lower distribution means lower revenues and already-tight numbers become even more constricting.”

So now gun control advocates don’t even want you to read about firearms.

It’s starting to look like Fahrenheit 451 wasn’t too far fetched.

Students Walking Out in Protest of Gun Violence

Today is the big day – students across the US are walking out of their classrooms to protest gun violence and send a message to politicians that they want more gun control. The walk out comes on the one month anniversary of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.

Sponsored by Empower, the youth wing of the Women’s March, the walk out beings at 10 A.M. and is to last for 17 minutes. One minute for each victim from the Parkland shooting.

Most schools have said they will not punish their students for leaving class, while other school administrations caution about making political statements.

From Fox News:

Districts in Sayreville, New Jersey, and Maryland’s Harford County drew criticism this week when they said students could face punishment for leaving class. In Pensacola, Florida, Superintendent Malcolm Thomas ordered students to hold an in-school assembly instead, telling them they could discuss voting and mental health issues, but not guns, and saying that political banners would not be allowed.

However, not all schools are participating. A new movement called Walk Up, Not Out has emerged. It encourages students to take a more proactive approach rather than one of protest.

One Catholic school is urging students to pray for other students.

The Women’s March is also planning a “March for Our Lives” later this month in Washington D.C.

It’s great that students are taking action because they should advocate for safer schools – no child should live in fear of getting shot in a classroom. But instead of addressing the real problems like institutional failures by our FBI and local law enforcement agencies, as well as mental health issues, liberals have hijacked the movement and turned it into one about gun control.

The kids are being used as political pawns to further agendas and as we all saw at the CNN Town hall, they are even being exploited for TV ratings.

The Walkout movement may not really accomplish anything, but the Walk Up movement actually could.

If you’re a parent, did you let your child participate in the walkout? How did you talk to them about what’s going on? Let us know in the comments.

Good Guy with a Gun Stops Bad Guy with TWO Guns

In Lawrence, Indiana yesterday, a man walked into a tax preparation office and brandished two weapons. Reportedly, Antonio Bertram argued with some of the workers inside the business, left, then returned a short while later and displayed two firearms.

One of the workers was also armed and fired at Bertram, hitting him in the chest. When police arrived, Bertram was passed out and bleeding in his car. He later died.

Obviously this is a developing investigation,  but based on news reports, it sounds like self defense and the main point here is that an armed citizen stopped a man armed with not one, but TWO guns and probably saved the lives of everyone working in that tax preparation office.

With all the attention on guns and gun laws these days, it seems like only the negative stories involving firearms gets reported in the mainstream media. The Parkland, Florida shooting nearly three weeks ago is still getting national attention as students across the globe plan a walk out day on March 14th. (That event is being sponsored and promoted by the Women’s March.)

Gun grabbers don’t want to acknowledge the cases where guns save lives – they’re too busy blaming the NRA, Republicans and law abiding gun owners for mass shootings to even consider THAT.

As NRA president Wayne LaPierre famously said, “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.” And it’s true – whether that be an armed police officer or a private citizen who takes the perp out, usually the only way to stop a shooter is to shoot back.

Walmart, Dick’s hit with lawsuit over new firearm policy

In response to the Florida school shooting that left 17 people dead, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods and L.L. Bean said they would no longer sell guns to anyone under the age of 21.

Anyone with half a brain knows all three retailers were simply virtue signaling. They all knew they’d get a couple of days’ worth of good, free press and pats on the back for “doing the right thing.”

Well, it was only a matter of time until a lawsuit would be filed challenging their new policy.  A 20-year-old man is now claiming “discrimination,” saying Walmart and Dick’s refused to sell him a rifle.  The young man’s lawyer claims the man was completely unaware of the new policy.

Really? Seriously? He was totally ignorant to the new policies? Does he not own a television, computer or radio? Regardless, the young man is most assuredly going to lose.

Walmart is a billion-dollar corporation. They will have high-powered, high-paid  attorneys as will Dick’s. Walmart and Dick’s aren’t going to reverse their policies anytime soon.

The fact of the matter is is that these are private companies. They have the right to do as they please. I may not like the policy, but guess what?  I also have the right to take my business elsewhere.

Remember something else, President Donald has also advocated for similar positions as that of Walmart and Dick’s.

This lawsuit will change nothing.

Trump to meet with video game execs to discuss school violence..yes, seriously

Donald Trump, The President of the United States, The Commander in Chief, is set to meet with video game executives about…school violence.  I’m not kidding.

The planned meeting – expected to happen sometime next week – was announced by Trump’s press secretary Thursday. Just like his “skip due process and just take the guns,” this meeting with video game execs seems to be another ridiculous, misguided attempt to lessen violence in schools.

Listen, children being brutally murdered in the classroom is an extremely serious issue. No children should ever go to school fearing for their life. But are we sure consulting the makers of Call of Duty is the right way to go about it?

Yes, video games are a billion-dollar industry, and those games often depict violence, at times graphically. But anyone who would feel compelled to commit horrific acts of violence after seeing Agent 47 gun down someone likely has bigger, probably mental health issues. That person is likely to exhibit warning signs, in which, if action is taken by the proper authorities, something could be done.

For instance, look at the institutional failure on essentially every level in the Florida shooting. The FBI knew about Nikolas Cruz, the Broward County Sheriff’s Department received call after call, – even from the shooter himself – about Cruz’s potential for violence. The school also knew about Cruz, but yet no one did anything….nothing.

One has to wonder why Trump hasn’t said a word about any of this? Yet, he goes after guns, the NRA, and now, apparently the entertainment industry.

Apparently, in a meeting last week with lawmakers, the President suggested a rating system for films and video, reportedly saying:

“I’m hearing more and more people say the level of violence on video games is really shaping young people’s thoughts. And you go one further step and that’s the movies. … Maybe they have to put a rating system for that.”

Maybe he’s just not aware, but last time I checked, there was already a rating system in place for both movies and video games. Heck, television programs have had a rating system for something like the last 10-15 years.

Maybe, I’m wrong. Maybe going after video games and movies, legislating the content in our entertainment is the way to go. Maybe that’s the answer. Somehow though, I don’t think altering  Pac-Man, Mario or Lara Croft will do much.

Rokita campaign releases first TV ad

Indiana’s May Republican primary is inching ever closer. And as such, the candidates will become more and more visible in the coming weeks, if they have the funds to do so.

The Todd Rokita campaign recently released their first campaign ad of the primary season and well….just watch for yourself.

In a campaign in which all three Republican candidates have essentially said that if elected, they will become Donald Trump’s lapdog, Rokita outdoes them all…in just 30 seconds.

In the ad, after flashing images of Hillary, Obama, Colin Kaepernick kneeling and people rioting in the streets, Rokita proceeds to tell us he’s pro-life, pro-gun and is emphatically “pro-Trump.”

The campaign manages to hit every big major talking point complete with total Republican imagery. He fires an AR-15, dons a Trump MAGA hat, holds a beer, walks through a cornfield with a shot of Arlington Cemetery.  Really, the only things missing from the ad are baseball, apple pie and the campaign’s dumb slogan “Defeat the Elite.”

‘Conservative’ Trump proposes skipping due process, grabbing guns

In case you didn’t know, Donald J. Trump is not a conservative. Yes, he may have an “R” by his name, but the man is not a conservative.

Don’t believe me? Still insist that the man currently occupying the Oval Office is a conservative? Ok, but just take some time and take a gander at the little clip below.

Still think the man who “wants to take the guns first” and “skip due process and take the the guns,” is a conservative?

In what world, besides that of Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Kimberly Guilfoyle and anyone else entirely sold out to Trump, is gun grabbing a conservative position? The truth is, it simply is not.

What Trump is proposing in this clip is gun grabbing. Gun grabbing is the very thing so many Trump supporters said and feared Hillary would do if she became president. It’s the very thing so many Trump supporters told us that Obama wanted to do.

Now, what Pence was articulating before Trump jumped in and decided to say one of the most asinine things ever, was the conservative position. You know, adhering to the law, working with law enforcement and the courts and not going around the law, doing whatever pleases President Trump.

“But, but…Trump was our only choice. He was so much better than Hillary.” Well, not so much, remember there was Rubio, Cruz, Bush, Kasich, Christie, Huckabee, Carson, Paul, Walker, Sanctorum, Fiorina, Jindal and Graham.

Also, something else to remember that was said over and over by many a Trump supporter: “Hillary was “gunna take ‘er guns!”  Now, President Trump has actually verbalized taking guns…without even duue process.

Not a conservative, not by a long shot.
