Samaria Rice, the mother of Tamir Rice, is not a fan of Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King. Rice accused King of being a white man acting black and called him an “imposter not to be trusted.”
She posted an open letter to King on her Instagram account, questioning his motives and saying she never gave him permission to raise money for her family after the police action shooting that killed her 12-year-old son in 2014.
This isn’t the first time she’s slammed King and other Black Lives Matter activists, saying in a statement earlier this year that they were “monopolizing and capitalizing off our fight for justice and human rights.”
King reportedly talked about Rice in a recent episode of his podcast, leading to her outrage on social media. The episode is no longer available on King’s web site.
