Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying to deny she ever tweeted that Sen. Ted Cruz nearly had her murdered in the Capitol riots.
A New York Post reporter specifically asked her about the tweet, to which AOC said “that’s not the quote.” After answering the question, a staff member stepped in and said they were finished for the day.
“That’s not the quote and I will not apologize for what I said,” Ocasio-Cortez told the reporter.
However, the tweet still exists and it’s very much what the congresswoman tweeted.
“I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out. Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign,” the tweet reads.
Maybe AOC ought to delete her tweet which proves she did insinuate Sen. Cruz almost had her murdered?
