On Wednesday, the 46th President of the United States of America will be sworn into office.
However, just two short weeks ago, a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in an effort to stop this from happening. While destroying property and chanting “Hang Mike Pence,” the angry mob were looking to keep lawmakers from certifying the presidential election.
The mob was told for months and months that the election was stolen from them, that President Trump was cheated despite there being absolutely no evidence supporting this notion.
On Tuesday, before the inauguration of President-elect Biden, Sen. Mitch McConell took to the Senate floor and made his feelings known about the Trump-incited mob looking to intimidate lawmakers.
