Sen. Lindsey Graham, who used to be one of President Trump’s biggest supporters, has been very critical of his actions following the Capitol riots. This morning, Graham spoke to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo and strongly urged Trump not to pardon any of the participants involved.
“You tried to intimidate us all, you should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Graham said. “To seek a pardon of these people would be wrong. I think it would destroy President Trump.”
He went on to say the protestors chose to go in and defile the Capitol, interrupt a joint-session of Congress and they need to live with that choice.
Graham also had some harsh words for Nancy Pelosi, calling the breech a failure on her part.
“To see people come in and take over the Capitol, the House and the Senate; beat officers, defile the seat of government – how the hell could that happen?”, Graham asked.
“Where was Nancy Pelosi? It’s her job to provide Capitol security. We’ll get to the bottom of that,” he concluded.
