While history is usually kind to presidents after they leave office, with their personal approval ratings increasing in the years after, that’s not likely to be the case with Donald Trump.
President Donald Trump on Wednesday did something that no other president in our nation’s history has done. He become the first president to be impeached twice.
His second impeachment, for his role inciting the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, was a bipartisan effort. Ten Republicans in the House of Representatives voted in favor of impeaching the president.
Now, the article of impeachment moves to the United States Senate for trial. Trump, I’m sure, will have the best, biggest, most beautiful lawyers, ever representing him. Rudy “trial by combat” Giuliani and Alan Dershowitz are the likely candidates.
