Since Wednesday’s mob stormed the United States Capitol, there have been a number of Trump administration officials who have resigned.
While more are likely to follow in the the days to come, as of right now, the biggest name has been Mick Mulvaney. Mulvaney, you’ll remember was, at one time, President Trump’s chief of staff.
On Thursday morning, Mulvaney appeared on CNBC where he said that he had called Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and resigned effective immediately.
Mulvaney said after seeing yesterday’s actions and images there was no way he could stay in his position.
Mulvaney went on to say that he wouldn’t be surprised if more of his colleagues resigned in the next 24-48 hours.
