Trump considering own news network

In the days since the election, there’s been a fallout between President Trump, conservatives and Fox News, which tends to skew right.

According to a report by Axios, the President is thinking about starting his own network after he leaves office.

“He plans to wreck Fox. No doubt about it,” said a source told the outlet.

“He wants to start a digital media company to clobber Fox News and undermine the conservative-friendly network,” they said.

So how would he do it? Axios’ source gave them the following outline:

  • Trump is considering a digital media channel that would stream online, which would be cheaper and quicker to start.
  • Trump’s digital offering would likely charge a monthly fee to MAGA fans.
  • Trump’s database of email and cellphone contacts would be a huge head start.

The President has been retweeting other news sources lately, including Newsmax and OANN.

Business Insider reports that following the President’s tweets, Fox’s stock has fallen six percent.
