Americans are already heading to the polls, casting their ballots on a number of races, including that of President of the United States.
The issue likely at the top of most voters’ mind is the pandemic, the continued surge in cases across the country and the hospitalizations and deaths due to the virus. But President Trump, like he has throughout the entire time during pandemic, continues to downplay the significance and seriousness of the virus.
On Friday, while speaking to a group of seniors, Trump told them that the United States is “rounding the turn.” He went to say to not pay attention to those who may say otherwise.
The United States now has more than 8 million coronavirus cases and more than 218,000 people have died in the U.S. because of the virus. On Friday alone, the United States announced 68,000 new COVID-19 cases, the highest single day total.
In the state of Indiana, due to the increase number of cases, Hoosiers traveling to Chicago and Ohio must quarantine for 14 days.
