In the United States of America, we have a thing called the law and presumption of innocence. If you’re accused of committing a crime, you’re arrested, read your rights and then charged. You also have the right to be tried in front of jury of your peers and when called to testify on your behalf, you can even plead the 5th Amendment and choose not to incriminate yourself.
All of this is spelled out in our nation’s founding documents. You know, those same documents that the President of the United States swears an oath to uphold. That’s how things work in the United States. That’s generally how things are supposed to work. That’s law and order.
One would think someone who calls themselves the “law and order” candidate would get this, right? But I’m thinking that much like talking, reading is a strong suit of President Trump.
During a rally in North Carolina on Thursday, Trump actually bragged about the US Marshals killing an Antifa protester who had supposedly shot and killed a far-right protester in Portland, Oregon.
Trump actually says that the US Marshals knew who he was, didn’t want to arrest him and went in and ’15 minutes and it was over.”
Portland media said that the federal forces actually fired 30 bullets at the murder suspect, killing him, of course. The President of the United States bragged about this fact.
