CA Gov. office: ‘wear mask in between bites’ of food

One of the great debates of 2020 has been over masks. Do they work? Are mask mandates infringing on your liberties?

California has been one of the more stricter states when it comes to the Coronavirus response, with many places still in lockdown and mask mandates in place.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s office is even encouraging restaurant diners to put their masks back on in between bites of food.

“Going out to eat with members of your household this weekend? Don’t forget to keep your mask on in between bites. Do your part to keep those around you healthy. #SlowtheSpread,” read an official tweet.

That seems a bit extreme, don’t you think?

Others thought so too, speculating it could actually increase exposure with so much face touching to get the mask on and off.
