South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is up for re-election in November.
Some polling in the state shows the former Republican presidential candidate locked in a tight race with his Democratic opponent, Jaime Harrison.
With Graham having been in the Senate since essentially the beginning of time and with his massive national name recognition, it’s one the national media will keep a close eye on, much like Ernst in Iowa and McSally in Arizona.
Regardless of how close the numbers currently stand, the election is still something like 50 days away and in politics, that’s an eternity and things can change dramatically. However, during a recent press conference Graham called on his Democratic opponent to release his tax returns.
Graham asks where are his opponents tax returns, going on to say that he wants to know how Harrison made his money. Of course, what’s ironic about Graham’s call for his Democratic opponent’s tax returns to be released is that Graham has been and is a major supporter of President Trump, who still refuses to release his tax returns.
Perhaps Harrison is simply under an audit, too.
