On Wednesday, audio tapes and excerpts of Bob Woodward’s upcoming book were released in which President Trump said he knew the coronavirus was five times more deadly than the flu while he publicly stated otherwise several times. In audio tapes, Trump says that he always tried to downplay the virus and still tries to downplay whenever possible.
Of course, these quotes from and audio recording of Trump come after nearly 200,000 people in the United States have died as a result of the virus. Following Wednesday’s release, the next big question was how would Trump’s cult react? As expected, they’ve, yet again, run to his defense.
On Fox News Wednesday evening, Tucker Carlson actually blamed South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham for setting up the initial interview between Trump and Woodward….and not Trump for what he said, did and didn’t do.
Despite the fact that Trump met up with Woodward 17 more times and that the words actually came out of President Trump’s mouth, Graham is still to blame, according to Carlson.
As Trump’s cult has shown time and time again, then-candidate Trump was 100% right when he said he could go out and shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any of his support.
