The second night of the Republican National Convention kicked off with a prayer for Jacob Blake, the Black man who was shot by police in Kenosha, WI on August 23rd.
Blake’s family says he is paralyzed from the waist down, and protests over the last few days have turned violent.
Two more Trump children spoke – both Tiffany and Eric gave speeches in support of their father, hitting the media over untruthful reporting and celebrating his accomplishments over the last four years.
“If what you share does not fit into the narrative they seek to promote, then it is either ignored or deemed a ‘lie,’ regardless of the truth,” Tiffany Trump said.
“Unemployment reached historic lows, especially for Black Americans, Hispanic Americans and Women. Trade deals were ripped up and renegotiated — lights were turned back on in abandoned factories across our country,” Eric Trump said.
Abby Johnson, the former Planned Parenthood director turned pro-life talked about the horrors of abortion and how the administration has been working to protect the unborn.
Nick Sandman, the high school student whose interaction with a Native American man last year went viral also spoke, donning a MAGA hat at the end.
“Canceled is what’s happening to people around this country who refuse to be silenced by the far left. Many are being fired, humiliated, or even threatened,” he said.
And the First Lady, Melania Trump, talked about unity and bringing the country together during a time of civil unrest.
