Every election presidential election season sees a lot of mud slinging and name calling but it appears to have been awfully early this time around.
Yes, everyone knows what’s at stake. The White House is up for grabs as well as control of Congress and a number of statehouses in November.
But with still 80 days or so before voters head to the polls to cast their ballots, things appear, at least from the heated rhetoric, to be in full campaign mode.
On MSNBC, Monday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, while talking about the controversy surrounding the United States Postal Service and mail-in voting referred to her Republican colleagues in Congress and President Trump as “domestic enemies.”
And this is coming even before a single negative ad in the general election has run on television.
Buckle up folks, it’s sure to be a bumpy ride until November.
