When President Trump took office, he promised not to take a salary during his time in the White House. Over the years, he’s often donated it to worthy causes and he most recently gave $100,000 of it to the National Parks Service.
“I promised YOU I would not take a dime of salary as your President. I donate the entire $400,000! It is my honor to give $100,000 to @NatlParkService to help repair and restore our GREAT National Monuments. So important to our American History! Thank You!!,” he tweeted.
Critics of the President still weren’t happy.
Earlier this year, President Trump donated to help Coronavirus relief efforts by giving $100,000 to Health and Human Services. He’s previously donated to help fight the opioid crisis as well.
