Chick-fil-A is is still super, super popular. It’s actually kind of amazing to see the massive lines to order, knowing that people are willing to wait an extended period of time for mediocre food. But if that’s what you like, go for it.
Anyway, since the murder of George Floyd nearly every facet of society is reexamining itself and wondering if this is racist or if that’s racist.
Is this a good thing? Sure, it can be. It’s always good to reexamine our preconceived ideas and notions as to whether they were right, wrong or indifferent. But like most things, it can be taken too far and becomes well, weird.
The CEO of Chick-fil-A took this idea of looking at potentially racist elements in our society and trying to correct them way too far. During a recent appearance, Dan Cathy actually got down on the floor and shined a man’s shoes and suggested others do this as a sign of humility and personal shame for racism. Needless to say, it was extremely weird and cringeworthy.
