CNN reporter excuses looting, rioting

People around the country are continuing to march and protest following the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.

People are upset, they feel like their voices aren’t being heard and a major injustice occurred that ended with a man losing his life. It only makes sense that people would be angry and upset.

Protesting is a completely legal response to what happened but when that protesting turns violent and becomes rioting and looting, that’s when you lose people who may have been in agreement with you. Stealing from and vandalizing businesses simply because you can isn’t protesting, it’s nothing more than people taking advantage of the situation to illegally enrich themselves at the expense of others.

Most people are OK with peaceful protests but the majority of the population have an issue with the rioting and stealing. However, one CNN reporter, Sara Sidner, actually excused the looting live on air and essentially advocated for the illegal and destructive behavior.
