Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg was hospitalized Tuesday for a gallbladder condition and infection. A spokesperson for the Supreme Court said she was treated non-surgically for the condition and will be in the hospital for several days to recover.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court began hearing oral arguments via telephone conference call due to Coronavirus. It’s the first time arguments have been presented that way in the Court’s history.
RGB joined arguments today from her hospital bed and according to USA Today, was critical of several of the Trump administrations policies, notably the rule that exempts employers from providing free coverage for contraceptives under a religious or moral objection.
Ginsberg is a cancer survivor multiple times and was hospitalized in 2018 after falling in her office and cracking several ribs.
