Stacey Abrams making calls to private donors get the VP pick

Failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams has her sights set on becoming Joe Biden’s VP pick and according to Politico, is lobbying some top Democrat donors to try to sway the campaign.

The site reports:

Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia lawmaker and unsuccessful candidate for governor, has been privately calling Democratic power brokers, asking them to tell Biden campaign officials that she should be vice president, according to multiple labor leaders familiar with the discussions.

And she’s not the only one cozying up to Biden.

Elizabeth Warren has been name dropping the former VP at media appearances as well.

Elizabeth Warren is cranking up her small-dollar machine. The Biden campaign has noticed that in media appearances, Warren, the progressive senator from Massachusetts, consistently plugged and urged people to donate — an appeal that a Biden adviser said did not come from the campaign.

“She’s doing it on her own,” the adviser said.

Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar are also vying for the spot on the ticket.
