The coronavirus pandemic continues as we learn of more positive cases and more deaths related to the virus every day.
While several states still have stay-at-home orders in place, there is a big push in order to reopen those economies and businesses that have been affected by those moves.
However, health experts have stressed the need for a lot more testing than what is currently taking place. Part of that testing includes contact tracing.
Contact tracing is essentially what it sounds like, meaning that it’s identifying people who may have come into contact with an infected person that has a contagious disease or illness.
Now Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s attorney, would like to expand contact tracing.
The former mayor of New York City was on Laura Ingraham’s show and said that in life there are risks and things happen and to completely do away with risk is impossible.
But then Giuliani went on to say that we should being contact tracing for cancer, obesity and heart disease “because they kill a lot more than coronavirus.”
That’s good and fine but none of those are contagious. Contact tracing is for things that are contagious.
I’m not a doctor and apparently neither is Rudy.
