Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced this week he plans to open several businesses and other facilities previously shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Kemp’s announcement comes after President Trump’s insistence that a number of states would be ready to enter Phase 1 of the Trump administration’s plan to reopen the economy. For several weeks now, President Trump has talked about the need to get the economy roaring again.
Also, Kemp is the same person who, just a few weeks ago, said he recently learned the virus could be passed by people who are asymptomatic.
But on Wednesday, Trump was singing a different tune, saying that he disagreed with Kemp’s decision to open the economy.
