Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders isn’t going anywhere. After a night Tuesday evening that saw the democratic socialist lose in Mississippi, Missouri and Michigan, a state he won in 2016.
Joe Biden has all the momentum and an increasing and likely insurmountable lead in the delegate count. Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee for president and Sanders, if he really cared about anyone other than himself, would step aside.
During his statement to the media Wednesday, Sanders vowed to stay in the race, debate Biden on Sunday in Arizona and beat President Trump.
But during his media availability, Sanders inadvertently made the case that he should, in fact, exit the race.
He admits that he’s not getting the votes and people would rather have Joe Biden be the candidate.
So, why is he staying in the race?
