Democrat Debate turns into a bloodbath

Well, this was what we were waiting for folks! The Democrats took the stage to debate in Nevada last night and it was a bloodbath with the candidates attacking each other in a highly entertaining two hours.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was the main target as his rise in the polls has threatened the frontrunners and Sen. Elizabeth Warren went for the jugular right out of the gate.

“I’d like to talk about who we are running against, a billionaire who calls women, ‘fat broads,’ and ‘horse-faced lesbians,’” Warren said. “And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.”

“Democrats are not going to win if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women, and of supporting racist policies like redlining and stop-and-frisk,” she continued. “Look, I’ll support whoever the Democratic nominee is. But understand this: Democrats take a huge risk if we just substitute one arrogant billionaire for another.”

Bloomberg threw some shade himself, calling out Bernie Sanders for peddling socialism yet owning three houses himself.

“What a wonderful country we have,” Bloomberg said. “The best known socialist happens to be a millionaire with three houses. What’d I miss here?”

“You’ll miss that I work in Washington,” Sanders replied.

“That’s the first problem,” Bloomberg retorted.

Former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar had their own war going at the other end of the stage, with Buttigieg piling on Klobuchar for not knowing the President of Mexico.

“Are you trying to say that I’m dumb? Are you mocking me, Pete? I said I made an error.” ” Klobuchar asked Buttigieg. Later in the debate, she dinged him for a 20 point loss in a statewide race in Indiana and after some more arguing, said “I wish everyone was as perfect as you, Pete.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden, didn’t get much air time or attention from the candidates, probably due to the lack of momentum his campaign is having on a national scale.

The Nevada caucuses will be held this Saturday, Feb. 22nd.
