Former Rep. Joe Walsh has decided to call it quits after a dismal performance in the Iowa caucus and no chance to beat incumbent President Donald Trump in the Republican primary.
Walsh was on CNN to announce the news and told John Berman “I am ending my candidacy for president of the United States. I got into this because I thought it was really important that there was a Republican — a Republican — out there every day calling out this president for how unfit he is.”
JUST NOW: " I would rather have a socialist in the White House than a dictator."

Walsh also accused President Trump of being a dictator and said the GOP has become a cult. “Trump is literally is the greatest threat to this country right now. Any Democrat would be better than Trump in the White House,” he said.
Bill Weld remains in the race as the only challenger in the GOP primary.
