Mayor Pete Buttigieg does not poll well with African American voters, a demographic the Democratic party covets when it comes time for the American people to cast their vote. Buttigieg, who just might win Iowa, seems to have taken note of how underwhelming he is to people of color and played to that demographic with a tweet yesterday about Trayvon Martin.
“Trayvon Martin would have been 25 today. How many 25th birthdays have been stolen from us by white supremacy, gun violence, prejudice, and fear? #BlackLivesMatter,” he tweeted.

Guess Buttigieg forgot that once upon a time he said all lives matter and that George Zimmerman was Hispanic?

Some African American voters weren’t buying Pete’s tweet.
You and every other Dem only see us as a voting bloc and nothing more. You represent the party of the KKK. Your party is more racist than the other. You want us disarmed & dependent on Gov programs. From the bottom of my heart, go fuck yourself. https://t.co/RmzGw7n18i

How dare you use our hashtag. Let me be clear: BLACK LIVES MATTER DOES NOT SUPPORT PETE BUTTIGIEG, AND WE NEVER WILL. @PeteButtigieg , take this disingenuous post down. If you do support us, then drop out. You are bad for the Black community.#DropOutPete #BlackLivesMatter https://t.co/Jsuk75YYOs

Far too many for you to try to start accounting for now dude. And far too many that, quite frankly, have allowed you to be where you are today. Quit the PR stunts, please. 🙄🤦🏿♂️ https://t.co/isqbhXB1x7
