Senate votes: Trump acquitted of both counts of impeachment

On Wednesday afternoon, the United States Senate voted to acquit President Donald Trump of both articles of impeachment.

On the first article, Abuse of Power, it came down to a 52-48 vote to acquit, while Romney was the only member of the Senate to cross party lines.

As far as the vote on the second article, Obstruction of Congress, it was strictly party line vote. All 53 Republicans voted to acquit while all 47 Democrats voted to remove him from office.
