The impeachment circus continues today with the Senate officially opening the trial at noon today. Yesterday, the House impeachment managers marched through the Capitol building to deliver the articles to the Senate, but it was Nancy Pelosi’s behavior and gold pens that caused the most stir.

Pelosi’s pens looked more like something you’d buy in a gift shop – her name was engraved on them and they featured fancy gold accents.

Pelosi was also criticized for smiling and laughing while signing the articles, especially since she’s said impeachment is “tragic for our country.”

Texas Senator Ted Cruz jokingly said he was surprised Pelosi didn’t use crayons since it’s been such a circus in the House.
