Sanders reportedly told Warren in 2018 a woman couldn’t win

We’re told over and over that the Democrats are the party of forward thinking and progressivism. In the current field of those running for president, Vermont’s Bernie Sanders and the senator from Massachusetts, Elizabeth Warren, would be considered the most progressive.

Now, apparently, according to a report, Sanders’ told his pal Warren in December 2018 that a women couldn’t win the presidency.

This kind of attitude and opinion, if true, kind of goes against everything Sanders has been saying for, well, ever.

As expected, the Sanders’ campaign completely denied the report.

“It is ludicrous to believe that at the same meeting where Elizabeth Warren told me she was going to run for president, I would tell her that a woman couldn’t win,” Sanders said. “It’s sad that, three weeks before the Iowa caucus and a year after that private conversation, staff who weren’t in the room are lying about what happened. What I did say that night was that Donald Trump is a sexist, a racist and a liar who would weaponize whatever he could. Do I believe a woman can win in 2020? Of course! After all, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by 3 million votes in 2016.”

This just a whole lot more interesting because the Warren campaign is likely going to try and brand Sanders as a sexist going forward. It’s funny, the Democrats set up these rules and then most of them end up dying by these stupid rules.
