The House Oversight Committee has been holding hearings on women’s reproductive rights and abortion and conservative commentator Allie Stuckey spoke up in defense of the unborn.
“The majority of abortions, according to Planned Parenthood’s own research, are done on the basis of convenience. And I just don’t see the logical or moral justification for killing an unborn child on the basis of them simply not being ‘wanted’,” Stuckey said.
“I am here today as a mom, fighting for a future group of kids in which rights are not dependent on whether or not a person is wanted but on their humanity. I am here as a woman, who believes that female empowerment, equality and freedom are not defined by her ability to terminate the life of her child,” she continued.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz seemed triggered by Stuckey’s appearance, pointing out she has no medical training and is only offering her opinion. Stuckey then went on to talk about about the procedure is performed.

When Planned Parenthood representatives tried to argue that abortion is moral, Stuckey responded, “In what other situation, besides when a child is defenseless in the womb, do we call killing someone healthcare? Do we call killing someone moral?”
