Clapping is now considered offensive and hurtful by some. You might think I’m making this up but sadly, I am not.
On Good Morning Britain, Ellen Scott, a journalist and writer, actually advocated for clapping to be banned.
What was her reasoning? It could be triggering, disruptive and distressing and to those with sensory issues and those who wear hearing aids.
I could see how loud noises could negatively affect people who have such problems. But the problem is that this kind of stuff is never, ever brought up by people who suffer from these conditions. It’s always journalists who are apparently trying to score points with the far left.
Is this really the kind of society that we’re leaving in? Do we really have this much time on our hands that we have people talking about the negative aspects of clapping?
