Leaked photos of Rep. Katie Hill naked and in inappropriate situations with female staffers prompts House ethics probe

This story hasn’t been getting much coverage, but a few days ago, a story broke that California Rep. Katie Hill had been in a “thruple” relationship with her husband and other female staffers.

Hill originally said the rumors were false and an attempt by an “abusive husband” and members of the GOP to smear her campaign. She then backpedaled, saying in a letter to constituents, “During the final tumultuous years of my abusive marriage, I became involved in a relationship with someone on my campaign. I know that even a consensual relationship with a subordinate is inappropriate, but I still allowed it to happen despite my better judgment. For that I apologize. I wish nothing but the best for her and hope everyone respects her privacy in this difficult time.”

Now, after scandalous photos leaked showing Hill with a Nazi era tattoo, smoking a bong, kissing her female staffer and nude in various photos, she’s admitted to the relationship.

The House Ethics Committee has also opened an investigation into the matter, saying they are “aware of public allegations that Representative Katie Hill may have engaged in a sexual relationship with an individual on her congressional staff, in violation of House Rule XXIII, clause 18 (a).”
