LeBron James: ‘There can be a lot of negatives that come with freedom of speech’

The National Basketball Association has a massive problem and it’s getting worse every day.

Ever since the general manager of the Houston Rockets tweeted out a message in support of the people in Hong Kong, the NBA has been in overdrive, trying to smooth things over with the China.

Adam Silver, Steve Kerr and Greg Popovich have all spoken out about the league’s present situation with the Communist nation and they are either sitting on the fence or just outright siding with China and against freedom of speech.

Now, arguably the league’s most visible player LeBron James has spoken out about the situation and he made what was possibly the worst comments yet. He actually said that the Rockets general manager, who supported the people of Hong Kong, was uneducated about the situation and potentially put people at risk both physically and financially. Of course, “financially” being the key word.

He then went on to say that there are a lot of negatives involved in freedom of speech as he used his freedom of speech to bend the knee to the Communist Chinese.
