Beto says Presidential bid final run for office

If Robert “Beto” O’Rourke doesn’t become president this go around, the former Congressman says it will be his final run for public office.

O’Rourke told Politico, “I cannot fathom a scenario where I would run for public office again if I’m not the nominee.” The outlet questions exactly how long he’ll last in the race, noting he’s only polling at 2 or 3 percent nationally.

Gun control remains his primary focus of the campaign, saying that “We have to continue to keep this issue front and center if we’re going to make any progress on it.”

O’Rourke will take the stage once again tonight at the Democratic debate, although much of the focus will likely be on Biden and his son Hunter’s dealings with Ukraine.
