The NBA, like every other business, wants to make as much money as possible.
So, like many organizations they see China, with their huge population, as a place to go get those dollars. However, after the league’s reaction to a tweet about supporting freedom for the people of Hong Kong from an NBA executive, they find themselves in an awkward position.
It would appear that the National Basketball Association cares more about making money than freedom speech or just freedom in general. That kind of look isn’t likely to help them in the United States.
One of those people in the NBA is always outspoken about his hate and disgust with President Trump is Golden State Warrior head coach Steve Kerr.
So, one would think this would be a slam dunk (pun intended) for the former Chicago Bull. But instead Kerr decided to defer and refused to take a stand.
What a coward, indeed.
