China bans ‘South Park’ after episode that mocks them

Comedy Central’s long running adult cartoon “South Park” has been banned in China after the show poked fun at the Chinese government’s censorship of media and entertainment.

The episode entitled “Band in China”did not amuse the nation and since it aired, all episodes of the show have been yanked from Chinese airwaves.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone probably expected it and issued a non-apology on Twitter.

Like the NBA, we welcome the Chinese censors into our homes and into our hearts. We too love money more than freedom and democracy. Xi doesn’t look like Winnie the Pooh at all. Tune into our 300th episode this Wednesday at 10! Long live the great Communist Party of China. May the autumn’s sorghum harvest be bountiful. We good now China?,” they tweeted.
