Trump says Schiff should be arrested for treason

Rep. Adam Schiff, who said he had proof of Russian collusion and serves as chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, was the target of President Trump’s Twitter attacks this morning.

The President tweeted that he should be investigated for treason and arrested.

“Rep. Adam Schiff illegally made up a FAKE & terrible statement, pretended it to be mine as the most important part of my call to the Ukrainian President, and read it aloud to Congress and the American people. It bore NO relationship to what I said on the call. Arrest for Treason?,” the President said.

During Schiff’s opening statement, he said “It reads like a classic organized crime shakedown,” then went on to give a summery of his interpretation of the transcript of the phone call between President Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
