Kentucky Fried Chicken is adding a new sandwich to their menu and it has donuts that serve as buns. Right now, you can only get the sandwich in their test markets in Norfolk and Richmond, Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
But if it goes over well, expect the fast food chain to roll it out nationwide.
According to USA Today, you can get just the Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich with a chicken fillet between two glazed doughnuts for $5.99 or you can make it a meal “with choice of chicken on the bone and a doughnut for $5.49 or $7.49 for a big basket.”
Donuts have been popular as “buns” recently, with many state fairs using them as hamburger buns. And then there was Tom & Chee who created a donut grilled cheese sandwich.
It doesn’t look half bad. Would you try it?
