In the recent weeks, Beto O’Rourke has been campaigning for tighter gun laws, universal background checks, buybacks of AR-15 and AK-47 style guns and calling for a national gun registry.
At last night’s Democratic debate in Houston, the former congressman made it a focal point saying, “Hell yes we’re going to take your AR-15!”
Hell yeah, we're going to take your AR-15. If it's a weapon that was designed to kill people on the battlefield, we're going to buy it back. pic.twitter.com/cCEWkG6y0X

Now, he’s trying to profit off that catch-phrase, selling t-shirts in his online store with proceeds from the sales going directly to his campaign.
It's like he had already planned this… https://t.co/UIcJM9BOZ1

As Kimberly Ross points out in another tweet, this is quite different from what he said on the campaign trail when running for Senate in Texas.
During his failed run for Senate, Beto was all "If you like your AR-15 you can keep your AR-15." 🤔https://t.co/wtS0x3cfZM
