The Democrats running for the presidential nomination in 2020 all seem to be pretty happy to take your guns away from you in the name of guy buybacks, which are really just a fancy term for confiscation.
Beto O’Rourke, who’s still hanging in there even though no one thinks he’s got a shot at the White House, made it perfectly clear that if he becomes president, you can’t keep your AK-47 or AR-15.
A reporter asked Beto in Charlottesville how he’d reassure people afraid the gov’t would take their assault weapons away.
“I want to be really clear that that’s exactly what we are going to do,” he said. If you own an AK-47 or AR-15, “you’ll have to sell them to the government.”

Beto confirmed this, by retweeting Molly Hensley-Clancy’s tweet and saying, “We need to buy back every single assault weapon.”
We need to buy back every single assault weapon. https://t.co/06UhoUGrzD

Politicians throw this idea out time and time again, yet they never have a specific plan for how they would go about doing this, which should be a clue to voters that they’re not serious and it’s all for votes and scoring points with their constituents.
People seem to be eating it up too.
Yup. Can’t believe you’re the ONLY candidate calling for a mandatory assault weapons buyback program! This is why I’m with you #Beto2020

THIS^^^^^^^^^^regardless of caliber. IF you can put more than 5 rounds in a detachable magazine, it should be under the 1934 NFA, & not available to the unlicensed general public. This law's why every two-bit crook can't afford a Tommy gun, btw, so it's known to work.
