DOJ report concludes Comey violated FBI policies

A report is out from the Department of Justice and it slams former F.B.I. Director James Comey. In the report, it concludes that Comey violated “department and F.B.I policies” and says he mishandled memos that he leaked to the media.

“We found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the memos to members of the media,” the report stated, adding he also “violated department and FBI policies and his FBI employment agreement.”

He won’t be prosecuted, though.

Comey took to Twitter to make his thoughts known on the report.

“I don’t need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a ‘sorry we lied about you’ would be nice,” Comey said.

“And to all those who’ve spent two years talking about me ‘going to jail’ or being a ‘liar and a leaker’ ask yourselves why you still trust people who gave you bad information for so long, including the president,” he continued.
