Two more Dems drop out of Presidential race

The field got a little bit smaller this week as two more Democrats running for the party nomination for president have dropped out.

On Wednesday, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, whose main platform was climate change, announced he was bowing out of the race and will focus on running for a third term as governor of the state instead.

Then today, Seth Moulton announced he’s calling it quits too.

According to The New York Times, Moulton encouraged other Democrats to drop out, saying they were “laboring in vain at this point.”

“I think it’s evident that this is now a three-way race between Biden, Warren and Sanders, and really it’s a debate about how far left the party should go,” Moulton told the paper.

Twenty-one candidates remain, although only ten have qualified for the next debate on September 3rd.
