Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has been treated and released for a malignant tumor which was discovered on her pancreas. According to reports, the treatment included three weeks of radiation that started earlier this month.
“The tumor was treated definitively and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body,” said a Supreme Court’s public information office in the statement. “Justice Ginsburg will continue to have periodic blood tests and scans.”
Last year, Ginsburg underwent treatment for lung cancer which was discovered when she fell in her office. The spokesperson says she plans to return to work next month and has not canceled any appearances she has scheduled for the month of September.
