South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg was on CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper this morning talking about President Trump, racism and China. He had some harsh words for Trump voters, saying they were “looking the other way” when it comes to the President’s racism.
He stopped just short of saying voters are racist for voting for Trump.
.@jaketapper: “Do you think that it’s a racist act to cast a vote for President Trump in 2020?”

As for China, Buttigieg said, “The President has failed to deliver a deal… we’re paying the costs of these tariffs.”
“It’s also a fool’s errand to think you’re going to be able to get China to change the fundamentals of their economic model by poking them in the eye with some tariffs,” he continued.
