This week Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar attempted to enter the country of Israel. However, both congresswomen, who are supporters of the Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment movement (BDS), were denied entry.
Following the outrage of those on the left and in the media, Israel agreed to allow Tlaib to enter the country to meet her grandmother.
A good compromise, right? Not so fast. Instead, Tlaib used the attention once again to slam Israel saying that she just couldn’t enter the country because of how terrible she has been treated by our closest ally in the Mideast.
Tlaib knew exactly what she was doing. It couldn’t have gone any better if you’re Tlaib, it gives her more ammo for which to go after Israel. She’s going to have even more supporters in her anti-Semitic crusade against the tiny nation. However, surprisingly, one of those will not and is not comedian Bill Maher.
Maybe folks should boycott his show.
I am tired of folks discrediting a form of speech that is centered on equality and freedom. This is exactly how they tried to discredit & stop the boycott to stand up against the apartheid in S. Africa. It didn't work then and it won't now. https://t.co/Oa49ZVfrVN
