Wow. Someone has a giant ego on him. Beto O’Rourke has been failing miserably in the polls, causing many to beg him to come back to Texas and run for Senate again. Apparently he’s moved beyond that though, telling people, “that would not be good enough for El Paso. That would not be good enough for this country.”
Makes one think he’s sticking around for a cabinet position because if he really thinks he’s got a shot at President, he’s delusional.
“There’s some part of me, and it’s a big part of me, that wants to stay here [in El Paso] and be with my family, and be with my community. I love El Paso,” O’Rourke continued “There have even been some who suggested that I stay in Texas and run for Senate.”
“But that would not be good enough for this community,” he continued. “That would not be good enough for El Paso. That would not be good enough for this country.”
O’Rourke had suspended his campaign following the mass shooting in El Paso, but announced he’s back in the race again.
Watch the statement below.
Beto O'Rourke: "Not only do we need to end the sale of assault weapons and weapons of war that were designed for the battlefield and have no place in our communities but we must as a country buy those weapons take them off the streets altogether." https://t.co/waLJVVmy6a pic.twitter.com/EJgQquEccA
