We’ve got a long way to go before a single vote is cast for president. There is a lot that has to happen before we either re-elect Trump or select from the nearly two dozen Democrats to be the President of the United States.
First up, Iowans will caucus early next year, followed by New Hampshire then South Carolina and Super Tuesday and so on and so forth. After all of that, after the Democrats finally select from their current crop of candidates, President Trump will square off against whoever happens to when the Democratic nomination.
Then that’s when the fun really beings. We’ll be absolutely inundated with politics, the presidential election and polls. But likely the most important, most significant events to take place leading up to the 2020 election will be the debates. And some people have an interesting choice to help moderate those debates.
An online petition, which has more than 61,000 signatures, wants Joe Rogan to moderate.
I’ve gotta say, that while I will not be signing the petition, Rogan is a surprising pick but it does name sense. He has the ability to have deep, insightful conversations with people and it doesn’t matter if they are a Republican, Democrat, a Libertarian, Green Party, a socialist, a communist or from Minnesota.
It’s not likely to happen because CNN, MSNBC and Fox won’t allow such a high-profile spot to go to someone who isn’t on their network.
