Monica Lewinsky to produce next ‘American Crime Story’ based on Clinton sex scandal

Monica Lewinsky has signed on to produce the third installment of Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story and it’s a subject she knows quite a bit about: her affair with former President Bill Clinton.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy told her, “Nobody should tell your story but you, and it’s kind of gross if they do. If you want to produce it with me, I would love that; but you should be the producer and you should make all the goddamn money.”

Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Brad Falchuk, Larry Karaszewski, Scott Alexander, Alexis Martin Woodall and Sarah Paulson will produce – all are usually involved with Murphy’s other projects, so that’s no surprise.

According to Variety, “Beanie Feldstein will star as Monica Lewinsky, with Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones. The season will be based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.”

Production starts in February and scheduled to premier Sept. 27th on FX.
